I am wondering what the current consensus is on interactive white boards. Are they useful? Are they a distraction? Do teachers actually use them as more than a standard whiteboard? Do they improve student engagement after the newness wears off? Do 1:1 iPads with apps like ShowMe and NearPod make more sense? Are schools buying more smart boards or phasing out what they have? What brands do you like?
